Youth and Young Adult Ministry Scripture
|
|
1If you have any encouragement from being united with
Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the
Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make
my joy complete by being likeminded, having the same love, being
one in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish
ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better
than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to
your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”
(Philippians 2:1-5 (NIV))

The purpose of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry is
to implement programs that will involve all youth and young adults of
the church and community. The ministry instructs the youth and young adults
in biblical principles through bible study, worship services and fellowship
with other ministries. Workshops, seminars and social activities are also
planned to ensure that the youth and young adults will become well-rounded
Christian citizens.
The Youth Ministry is responsible for participating in
the worship services on the Third Sundays of each month at 8:00 am. and
10:45 a.m. Our Annual Youth and Young Adult Day is celebrated the fourth
Sunday in June. By definition, Youth and Young Adult ministry is working
through the lives of Spirit filled young people to meet the holistic needs
of youth and young adults. By holistic we mean- spiritually, emotionally,
socially, economically, and recreationally. |
Why We Do What We Do.
We believe that the youth and young adults are our future, and we must
recognize that the youth and young adults are a viable part of the Body
of Christ.
What Are Our Goals?
To encourage and meet the needs of our Young People through fellowship,
evangelism, ministry, worship, and discipleship! Furthermore, our goal
is to connect believers with non-believers who may be seeking a personal
experience and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What We Intend To Do.
-
To meet the young people where they are and introduce them to Christ.
-
To help them to grow spiritually through workshops, plays, fasting,
and Bible Study.
-
To teach them how to share their faith.
-
To show them how to make an impact on the world for Jesus Christ
